Nine numbers of modern decimal system of calculations have the name Arabian but these
numbers have an old Indian origin. In ancient Egypt and in ancient Greece there
was systems of calculations which was similar old Indian but for record of
numbers used other marks. In essence any decimal systems of calculations of the
ancient world are similar to modern decimal system but numbers had various
designations.
In ancient Greece applied Attic system of numerical records by means of marks:

And also in ancient Greece applied Ionic system of numerical records by means of
alphabetic letters that allowed to do numerological or mathematical
calculations by means of numbers of Attic system or by means of letters of Ionic
system.
Letters in the Ionic system were equal to numbers and had numerological values, and consequently words in
consciousness of ancient Greeks had values which are similar to values of
numbers in numerology. But provided that numerological values of words developed
from numerical sums which corresponded to letters in words, namely numerical
values of letters summarized then considered sums as numerological values of words.
Names had special value as the numerical sums of letters in names of people
allowed to speak about psychological features, and in essence
allowed to correlate psychological features of people to features of mythological gods
according to values of numbers in numerology. Such method of comparison of human
characters with numbers in numerology can seem doubtful but nevertheless the
sense and a grain of truth in numerological calculations of human names exists.
The reasonable psychologist or any man, if has talent of psychological
testing, can correlate psychological features of people to those or other
numerological numbers without any calculations then can analyze mutual relation
of people or can do other necessary psychological manipulations, but it is
traditional in numerology that psychological features of people correlate to
numbers by means of calculations, that at observance of correct calculations
yields quite adequate results.
For example, John Theologian's apocalypse (The Book of Revelation) mentions a
name of the Beast to which there corresponds number 666. Agrees to numerological
calculations the name of emperor Nero is ciphered in number 666 that is possible
to calculate if name Nero Caesar is written by letters of the Aramaic alphabet as
during John Theologian's life in east Roman empire on coins the name
of emperor Nero wrote by means of the Aramaic letters, and
consequently John has calculated name of Nero Caesar according to inscriptions on
coins. Namely KSR: qoph (100) +samekh (60) +resh (200) and NRON: nun (50) +resh
(200) +vav (6) + nun (50). Total the Aramaic letters in name Nero Caesar (Neron
Kesar) make the sum 666 that characterizes Roman Emperor Nero from the view
point of numerology as the person who has absolute world authority,
and also characterizes the Apocalyptical Beast as an essence which has
absolute world authority in the empire of gods, in the empire of people and in
the empire of death. In essence number 666 symbolizes absolute authority
of the Apocalyptical Beast (absolute authority of a psycho-physiological material world) which is
comparable to authority of the Supreme Olympic gods (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades) in myths of ancient Greece.
If to calculate name Nero Caesar by means of Latin letters and to compare
numerical values of Latin letters to numerical values of the Aramaic letters then
the sum 616 will turn out (KSRNRO=100+60+200+50+200+6=616), that also
characterizes Roman Emperor Nero as the person with unlimited authority as the
number of the name has two numerological numbers 6, and also characterizes as
the person ambitious and prevailing above associates as the name has
numerological number 1, and from the view point of numerology the combination of numbers 6
and 1 symbolize the intense parity that characterizes Roman Emperor Nero as the unbalanced person.
Transcriptions of letters in shown numerological calculations correspond to
letters of the English alphabet but numerical values and pronunciations
correspond to letters of the Aramaic alphabet and the Latin alphabet.
Pay attention that according to ancient records in words there are no vowel
letters but in the modern languages vowel letters take place and consequently
are taken into account at numerological calculations.
Letters of the English alphabet have no numerical values but nevertheless
have ratio with numbers in numerology and allow to carry out numerological
calculations the same as letters of the ancient Greek alphabet, that is shown in the table:
![]() |
Decimal numerological table of letters for the ancient Greek alphabet is shown above, and decimal numerological table of letters for the English alphabet is shown below. |
The ancient Greek alphabet was coordinated with decimal system of
calculations (decimal calculus) and allowed to calculate ratio of letters with
numbers correctly, but the English alphabet incorrectly corresponds with numbers
of decimal system of calculations as 26 letters cannot be divided into 9 so that
nine letters correspond to units, nine letters correspond to tens, nine letters
correspond to hundreds, that is possible to see in the table. But
nevertheless the shown numerological table of letters for the English alphabet
can be used in modern numerology and results of calculations by means of this
table can be considered.
Other methods of calculations of numerical values for letters by means of
numbers of duodecimal numerology look on pages of other site:
www.wordgame.64g.ru/meta/meta8en.htm
where there are computing tables according to which phonemes of the English
language are compared to 33 letters of the Russian alphabet and are compared to
duodecimal numbers.
It is possible to apply different ways of calculations and to apply different
alphabetic tables of letters to comparison of letters with numbers, but used
alphabetic tables and methods of calculations should be expedient for analyses
of those or other psychological or philosophical problems which demand the
decision by means of numerology.
To calculate the numerical sum of letters in the name of a modern man, it is
necessary to take into account letters of a name, a surname,
a last name, a patronymic and others. For example, person of George Gordon Byron
has the numerical sums of letters: in name (first name) 7+5+60+90+7+5 = (174); in
surname (second name) 7+60+90+4+60+50 = (271); in family name (third name) 2+700+90+60+50 = (902),
and also has the total numerical sum of letters
in full name 174+271+902 = (1347) that makes numbers of human essence
(person) from the view point of numerology.
The given calculations are executed by means of the decimal numerological
table for letters of the English alphabet which is shown on this page.
Results of numerological calculations can be considered by means of a magic
square that is shown on the following chart:
![]() |
George (first name) - 174, Gordon (surname) - 271, Byron
(family name) - 902, and the total numerical sum of letters in full name
1347. In the listed numerical sums of letters: number 1 is submitted three times; number 2 is submitted two times; number 3 is submitted once; number 4 is submitted two times; number 7 is submitted three times; number 9 is submitted once, that is designated in cells of the magic square by the appropriate quantity of points. The shown magic square is the numerological chart for essence of George Gordon Byron and allows to describe characteristic features of the person from the view point of numerology, and in particular from the view point of Pythagorean numerology in which numbers correspond with characters of mythological gods and correspond with cells of a magic square. |
According to shown numerological chart it is briefly possible to tell that for
person of George Gordon Byron are peculiar:
- a war (dominant individualism) as number 1 is expressed to which there
corresponds mythological image of Ares;
- a revolution (freedom, equality, brotherhood) as number 7 is expressed to
which there correspond mythological images of Prometheus or Hephaestus;
- aspiration to a nature as number 2 is shown to which there correspond
mythological images of Artemis or Hecate;
- relations with mother as number 4 is shown to which there correspond
mythological images of Hera or Leto;
- a love (grace and appeal) as number 9 is designated to which there corresponds
mythological image of Aphrodite;
- a literature as number 3 is designated to which there corresponds mythological
image of Hermes.
The detailed analysis of this numerological chart of human essence in the magic
square demands more detailed comparison of numbers with characters of
mythological gods and events (plots of myths) which are caused by characters of
gods.
It is possible to consider the most expressed numbers and to not consider
numbers which are designated by one point, or it is possible to take into
account all numbers which are received as a result of calculations of a human
name and exist in the numerological chart, and thus it is possible to pay
attention to empty cells of the magic square for which there are no appropriate
numbers in the numerical sum of letters in human name. For example, in the
numerological chart of essence for George Gordon Byron there is no number 8 and the
appropriate cell of the magic square is empty that specifies absence of especial
inspired talent, but nevertheless poetry of Byron is caused by a numerological
principle of number 3 according to which poets have fast thinking which allows
to manipulate words, that differs from poetry in which poets carry out creation
of verses by means of numerological principle of number 8. And also the
numerological char for name of Byron has considerably expressed numbers 7 and 1
which have the most important value. If to compare the numerological chart of Byron to the chart of
name of any other
person then it is necessary to pay attention to numbers 7 and 1 which are most
expressed and consequently can cause contradictions or sympathies in mutual
relation that depends on numbers which are available in the numerological chart
of other person.
It is possible to consider double combinations of numbers and more complex
threefold combinations of numbers which show complex mutual relation of
mythological gods. And also it is possible to consider decimal categories of
numbers, namely it is possible to consider numbers which designate tens,
hundreds, thousands in the numerical sums, and in essence it is possible to take
into account 0 (numerological zero) which increases categories of numbers and
determines different degrees of numerical values. For example, in the numerical
sum of letters in family name (third name) of Byron the number 9 concerns to the
hundred category and number 2 concerns to the unit category that certainly
determines different degrees of display of numbers.

methods of analyses of numbers in numerology and methods of calculations for
numbers of human names look on pages of other site:

Calculations of numbers in numerology can be applied to the various purposes but
except of calculations of numerical values of names by means of correlation of
alphabetic letters with numbers, or except of calculations of birth dates by
means of calendars, it is possible to guess numbers by means of conjectural
operations that also allows to describe various psychological processes or other
events.
For realization of conjectural operations it is possible to use numerical cards
which are submitted on pages of this site in a context of mathematical game
which consists of different complete sets of numerical cards, and
consequently it is possible to use different complete sets which approach for
the decision of different tasks in numerology. Or it is possible to use the
special numerological complete set of conjectural cards which is submitted in the PDF file
in section of this site which is named: magic cards.
At the end of this site section it is necessary to tell that given concepts
of Pythagorean numerology were not kept till now and consequently are
reconstruction of former Pythagorean knowledge, but nevertheless this concepts
are coordinated with ancient Greek mythology and philosophy. In essence myths
and philosophy of ancient Greece are sources which allow to reconstruct
knowledge about numerology and allow to understand sense of world-wide
numerology though pages of this site give only some data which I could find in
known informational sources.
The additional information about numerology and about comparisons of
numerological numbers with mythological gods not only ancient Greek mythology
but also other mythological systems of the ancient world, and also the
information on comparisons of numbers in numerology with physiognomy of a human
face look on pages of other site:
